South Central Section
Each year the International organization awards Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarships to qualified members for advanced flight training or course work in specialized branches of aviation. Also, an Amelia Earhart Research Scholar Grant is awarded periodically for a specialized scholar to work in her field of expertise to expand knowledge about women in aviation/aerospace. In addition, there are now Awards for New Pilots (Associate members) to help them attain their private license. In addition, a number of 99 chapters support local scholarships for for anything from learning to fly to advanced ratings. Information of many of these is also available on the International Web Site of Scholarship Listings.

A scholarship is awarded yearly to a woman student pilot in the state of Colorado to complete her private license. Amount varies by year. See the Colorado Chapter website (www.colorado99s.org/scholarship.htm) or contact Stephanie Wells for more information.
scholarship - offered 3 to 4 times a year
- Reimbursement up to $250 for any checkride
Criteria: must be a female resident of Fort Worth/Dallas Metro area and fill out scholarship application
